Eva Butcher

EVA BUTCHER is a bassoonist and doubler, a recent Chicago transplant from Atlanta, GA. Recent Chicago theater credits include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Paramount), Carousel (Music Theater Works), and 1776 (Marriott). Atlanta theater credits include Phantom of the Opera (national tour); The King & I (national tour); Ever After (world premiere, Alliance); Caroline, or Change and Assassins (Jennie T. Anderson Theatre). She was the principal bassoonist of the Atlanta Pops Orchestra from 2014-2023. She now resides in Chicago with two dogs, three cats, her trumpet-playing husband, and – between the two musicians – an absurd number of mouthpieces.
