TimeLine is committed to developing and producing new work rooted in our mission of presenting stories inspired by history that connect with today’s social and political issues.

Due to the volume of scripts considered, TimeLine is only able to accept full-length play and musical submissions year-round from literary agents and theatre professionals with whom we have an existing professional relationship. We cannot accept unsolicited material.

The only exception to this is that, in recognition of our commitment to fostering local voices, we invite unrepresented writers in the Chicagoland area to submit a brief bio, statement of how their play fits TimeLine’s mission, short synopsis, and 10 pages of sample dialogue during the months of July and August only.

TimeLine only produces plays which fulfill our company’s mission. Please familiarize yourself with our production history prior to sending a submission.

Unsolicited submissions that do not meet the criteria above will not be considered.

All submissions following the criteria above should be done via email to info@timelinetheatre.comNo phone calls please

TimeLine is dedicated to discovering and fostering new writers through building relationships with new play centers and literary agencies, and scouting new work at readings, new play festivals, colleges and universities and theatre companies across the country.
