J. ISABEL SALAZAR (Literary Dramaturg) is a Tejana playwright and creative collaborator living in Chicago who is thrilled to work with TimeLine for the first time. She holds an MFA degree in Writing for Performance from California Institute of the Arts. Previous credits include production dramaturg for TIMBOCTOU (CalArts Center for New Performance, Los Angeles and Guadalajara), assistant dramaturg for WATER BY THE SPOONFUL and RICHARD III (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), and dramaturg for Austin Latinx New Play Festival. She is a Core Member of The Orchard Project NYC and a playwright with Hyde Park Theatre Playwright Group Austin. Solo performance credits include Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Isabel is the recipient of the KACTF Latinidad Playwriting Award, a semi-finalist at the National Playwrights Conference, and Best of Fest and Best of Week at Frontera Fest Austin. She is an avid traveler and researcher on the possibilities of time travel.
