JANICE PYTEL has designed costumes for TimeLine’s A Raisin in the Sun and Concerning Strange Devices from the Distant West. Other Chicago credits include Slowgirl, Belleville and Middletown (Steppenwolf Theatre); The Electric Baby and Crooked (Rivendell Theatre Ensemble); The Lake Effect (Silk Road Rising); The Whale (Victory Gardens Theater); Completeness (Theater Wit); The Caretaker, The Detective’s Wife and A Streetcar Named Desire (Writers’ Theatre); Spunk (Court Theatre); and The Long Red Road (Goodman Theatre). Her Broadway credits include 33 Variations and I Am My Own Wife. Regionally she has worked with Alley Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Alliance Theatre, Center Stage, Kansas City Repertory, Arena Stage, La Jolla Playhouse, Center Theatre Group, Madison Repertory Theatre and Geffen Playhouse. Her feature film credits include Mariachi Gringo (Speak Productions), and her multimedia credits include Catherine Sullivan’s Triangle of Need (Walker Art Center, Metro Pictures Gallery).
