Jerod Haynes

Jerod was born and raised on Chicago’s South Side. TimeLine credits include A RAISIN IN THE SUN. Recent credits include NATIVE SON (Court and American Blues Theater; Jeff Award for Actor in a Principal Role – Play), THE ROYALE (ATC; Jeff Nomination for Actor in a Principal Role – Play), and GEM OF THE OCEAN and SEVEN GUITARS (Court). Other theatre credits include COLUMBINUS (ATC),  TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD (Milwaukee Repertory Theater), and  CONTRIBUTION and GREENSBORO 4: DOWNPAYMENT ON MANHOOD (eta Creative Arts). Film and TV credits include SOUTHSIDE WITH YOU (in theaters Fall 2016), SENSE8 (Netflix), EMPIRE (FOX), Food, BETRAYAL (ABC), THE MOB DOCTOR (Fox), and CRISIS (NBC). Jerod has spent time in the UK where he studied at the British American Drama Academy (BADA). He also finished the entire training program at the Acting Studio Chicago. Jerod thanks God, his family, and dedicates his work to his daughter Jalaiya.
