JOHN CULBERT (Lighting Designer) returns to TimeLine, where he is an Associate Artist and previously designed The Chinese Lady, Chimerica, Juno, and The Farnsworth Invention. He was a faculty member and Dean of The Theatre School at DePaul University for many years, the alma mater of TimeLine’s six founding Company Members. Other Chicago credits include Gospel at Colonus, Arsenic and Old Lace, Othello, The Adventures of Augie March, and The Hard Problem (Court); Marie and Rosetta (Northlight); Villette (Lookingglass); Twelfth Night and Arcadia (Writers); Regina (Lyric Opera); and Having Our Say and Two Trains Running (Goodman). Regional credits include productions with Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Long Wharf Theatre, Berkeley Repertory, McCarter Theatre, and Shakespeare Theatre Company. International credits include productions with Singapore Repertory and Opera National du Rhin. Other projects include the lighting design for the Chicago Park District’s Buckingham Fountain.
