Board Secretary

Kate joined the TimeLine Theatre board in 2020. Prior to retirement, she served as a VP for The Nielsen Company as a strategic consultant with a specialty in change management. She was introduced to TimeLine through friends and neighbors Bill and Penny Obenshain; their enthusiasm was contagious and her connection just blossomed from there! She’s currently active in a variety of volunteer civic roles, and is so pleased to be taking on this new role with TimeLine.

It’s hard to ignore the level of success onstage and off that defines TimeLine – the kind of high-functioning organization that people want to be part of. The absolute commitment to bringing meaning to meaningful stories. And the urgent need to understand our place in history and our obligation to the future. I can’t imagine a better context for that kind of dialogue than the theater, and TimeLine in particular.

Originally from Western Springs, Illinois; Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Rhetoric from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She also holds a Black Belt certification in Six Sigma from Villanova University. She’s been married to her husband Gil since 2006, with three adult children and one cantankerous basset hound between them. They recently moved to the city from Oak Park and think Chicago’s the best place in the world to call home.
