Michael focuses on developing and growing early-stage companies, including executing capital acquisition strategies, establishing liquidity events, and structuring corporate resources to align with company goals. His work involves a wide range of national and international companies in an array of different fields, including nano-technology, digital music, and fashion design. Most recently, he co-founded and served as President and COO of ZigMail.com. Prior to working with entrepreneurial companies, he was a litigation associate at Novack and Macey (Chicago).

Michael recalls the first show he saw at TimeLine, BLOOD AND GIFTS, and how it lived up to the hype of TimeLine’s reputation. Inspired by TimeLine’s unique mission and high-quality and intimate performances, he joined the TimeLine Board in 2014.

TimeLine’s subjects provide a provocative, yet safe, mechanism to be introspective about pressing issues of our time.

In his free time, Michael is an amateur offshore sailboat racer and participates in races such as the Chicago to Mackinac Race and San Francisco’s Big Boat Series.

Michael earned his B.Phil degree from Miami University (summa cum laude), an M.Sc. degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a JD degree from the University of Chicago (1990).
