Mitchell A. Sabshon
Mitchell Sabshon is a seasoned executive with 30+ years in finance, capital markets, and real estate, who is recognized for his innovative financial strategies leading companies up to $14B AUM. He has held C-Suite and board roles in public companies, family firms, and nonprofits, and specializes in strategic planning, risk management, regulatory compliance, and leading multiple IPOs. He has successfully tackled issues like cyberattacks, union campaigns, stockholder derivative suits, M&A of over $20B, and hostile tender offers.
He currently serves on the board of Seritage Growth Properties (NYSE: SRG), the board of Timeline Theatre Company and the Board of Trustees of the American Friends of Hebrew University – Midwest Region. Mitchell currently serves as the CEO & Managing Member of Emperus Strategic Advisors, providing advisory services focused primarily on funds management, capital markets, capital raise and structured finance in the investment management space.
Mitchell has a robust background in corporate law, having worked as an Attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He previously chaired the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives. Having been licensed in real estate and insurance services in New York and holding a FINRA Series 7, he is an avid triathlete and marathon runner who has recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro.
