Prior to MY KIND OF TOWN, Ora Jones appeared at TimeLine Theatre in two staged readings of THE GUYS; MY KIND OF TOWN marks her production debut with the company. Her most recent appearance was as Calpurnia in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD (Milwaukee Repertory Theatre). She is a member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company Ensemble, where her roles have included Doctor/Aunt in MIDDLETOWN, Mama Moja in THE BROTHER/SISTER PLAYS, Jessie in THE VIOLET HOUR and Aunty Mimi in THE UNMENTIONABLES. Other Chicago roles include Queen Charlotte in THE MADNESS OF GEORGE III, Nurse in ROMEO & JULIET, Lucienne in A FLEA IN HER EAR and Mistress Ford in THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR (Chicago Shakespeare Theater); Mrs. Rittenhouse in ANIMAL CRACKERS, Claire in PROOF and Mrs. Fezziwig A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Goodman Theatre); Stage Manager in OUR TOWN (Writers’ Theatre); Clytemnestra in THE IPHIGENIA CYCLE and Jane Kennedy in MARY STUART (Court Theatre); and Gwen in THE EXECUTION OF JUSTICE (About Face Theatre). Ora’s film credits include WERE THE WORLD MINE, STRANGER THAN FICTION and THE WEATHERMAN. Her television credits include the series PRISON BREAK, POWERS and MATADORS.
