PHILLIP EDWARD VAN LEAR

PHILLIP EDWARD VAN LEAR (Kenyatta) is making his TimeLine debut. “It is a delightful gift to work at this renowned theatre, with this wonderfully talented cast, for the immensely gifted Ron OJ Parson.” A 30-year veteran of the Chicago artistic community, Phillip has had the blessing of working as an actor, director, producer, writer, performance poet and educator across the United States and around the world. He is a native of Aurora, Illinois, and a 37-year ensemble member of the Riverfront Playhouse. Phillip has also been a part of the Saint Ignatius College Prep Track & Field coaching staff for the past 6 years. He thanks the dedicated gang at Gray Talent Group for “picking up the pieces” and his loving wife Heather for “putting them back together.” He acknowledges that through God’s grace, his greatest accomplishment(s) to date are his seven amazing children, who serve as constant reminders of what is essential and true.
