Thaddeus J. Malik (Thad) is the CEO of S2T Partners, a consulting firm supporting clients on transactional and corporate governance matters. Thad worked for 30+ years as a lawyer representing a range of Fortune100 companies including Baker Hughes, Boeing, GE, General Dynamics and Hertz on transactional and corporate governance matters. Most recently, Thad was the chair of the M&A practice for Paul Hastings, an AmLaw top 10 firm with offices in more than 20 locations. Thad has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, strategic investments and joint ventures in a variety of industries, including defense and aerospace, publishing, software development, gaming and financial and shareholder services. His international experience includes transactions throughout the EU and China. He has also represented committees of independent directors, including audit, compensation and special investigative committees, on various matters.

In 2014, Thad joined the TimeLine Theatre Company Board of Directors. He cites TimeLine’s production of RAISIN IN THE SUN as the show that sparked his interest in company. His involvement in TimeLine is inspired by the stories that connect with today’s social and political issues and the company’s educational programs. “Simply put, I have never seen an organization that is better at leveraging their resources than TimeLine.” Thad currently serves as an independent director for Health Care Services Corporation, the largest customer-owned insurance company in the United States, operating Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance plans in Illinois, Texas, Montana, Oklahoma and New Mexico.  He is also the Chair of the Board of The First Tee of Greater Chicago, and currently serves as a member of the Board of The Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation. His prior affiliations include The Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation.

Mr. Malik graduated (cum laude) from Harvard Law School and received a BA degree (with distinction) from Northwestern University. A native of Elmhurst, IL, his priorities remain faith, family and friends—and anything involving golf.
