TimeLine Theatre
TimeLine Theatre’s new theatre is located at 5035 N. Broadway, in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood. The building is home to a flexible, intimate 250-seat black box theatre that can be re-imagined for every show; exhibit galleries that enhance the production experience; dedicated space for Living History students and community gathering; expanded social spaces, including a bar and café; spacious and visible rehearsal room that invites a view of the art as it’s being made; and office and production space for our growing staff.

Directions and Parking
DRIVING
From the Northern and Northwest Suburbs
From I-90, exit at Irving Park Road. Proceed east, then turn left onto Broadway. 2 miles north, 5035 N. Broadway will be on your right.
From I-94, exit towards Peterson Avenue. Proceed east for 4 miles, making a slight right onto Ridge. Turn right onto Broadway. 5035 N. Broadway will be on your left.
From the Loop
Take Lake Shore Drive north. Exit at Lawrence and turn immediately onto N Marine Dr. Turn left onto W Argyle St going west. Turn right onto Broadway.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
CTA Red Line trains
Exit at Argyle stop. Walk one block west to Broadway. Turn right on Broadway and proceed north half a block to our building’s entrance.
CTA bus routes
#36 (Broadway) stops at Argyle. #151 (Sheridan) stops at Argyle. #81 (Foster) stops at Broadway.
STREET PARKING
Uptown is a densely populated residential and business neighborhood. Street and metered parking is available but very limited. Note some streets are zoned for resident parking only.
Metered parking on Broadway and selected side streets is generally in effect from 8am – 10pm with a limit of 2 hours per parking session. Check individual meters to confirm details. For greater convenience while attending a performance, we recommend trying the ParkChicago app, which allows you to refill a meter remotely via your mobile device.
Please allow ample extra time if you are looking for street parking.
PARKING LOTS

5017 N. Winthrop
- Park in the lot and scan any on-site QR code with your phone’s camera to begin a parking session.
- Select a 12-hour session.
- IMPORTANT: You must start your parking session before leaving the lot, as roaming towing enforcement is active. You do not have to pay prior to leaving the lot.
- Receive validation by scanning a QR code from TimeLine’s Audience Services staff once at the theatre.
- The validation will apply to your activated parking session and adjust the 12-hour period to a 6-hour period.

5051 N. Broadway
Self-park garage, located two doors north of the theatre. The validated rate is $10 for up to 6 hours in the garage.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to follow the instructions provided by Audience Services with your validation about how to pay and exit the garage. Disregard any instructional signage within the garage; it does not apply to the TimeLine validation.
- Take a ticket from the kiosk on your way in. Park in any non-reserved spot.
- There is an elevator in the southwest corner of the garage (the corner closest to TimeLine on Broadway).
- Receive a validation sticker and payment / exiting instructions from TimeLine’s Audience Services staff.
- You may have to scan your ticket’s original barcode to gain entry to the garage when you return.
- On your way out of the garage in your car, you will pay at the automatic gate. Scan the original barcode first, then scan the validation sticker, then pay via credit card.
Please Note: Much of this garage’s available parking spots are on Levels 2 and above. Exiting the garage may take extra time when a large number of patrons are departing together.
