PAGE TO STAGE: HOW TO TURN AN IDEA INTO A PRODUCTION
with Brett Neveu and Tanya Palmer

1 session | Saturday, June 9 | 10am – 1pm
COST: $50 (inclusive of all system fees)

Playwright Brett Neveu

New ideas hit us often. They can grow from inspiration, seeds of another piece of work. Or form themselves from nothing, latching on, dying to be told. But how do these sparks of creation turn into fully realized inventions? The answer may differ per situation, but you can likely bet it is some combination of time, patience, support, and a little advice from great creators before you.

Join playwright Brett Neveu (TO CATCH A FISH, TRAITOR) and longtime collaborator and dramaturg Tanya Palmer for a glimpse into the creation process with this one day workshop. Brett and Tanya will share their experiences of creating new plays (from brainstorming to research to first draft and beyond) and provide participants with resources and techniques to perhaps turn their own seedling of an idea into something full grown and beautiful.
