Daniel made his TimeLine debut in MASTER HAROLD AND THE BOYS. He previously appeared in the rep of TOPDOG/UNDERDOG and TRUE WEST (American Theater Co./Congo Square Theatre). Before that he was in THE PEOPLE’S TEMPLE (American Theater Co.) Other Congo Square credits include THE TALENTED TENTH, which was nominated for 10 Black Theater Alliance Awards, the Equity Jeff Award-nominated JOE TURNER’S COME AND GONE (presented at the Goodman Theatre) and Lydia Diamond’s award-winning world premiere of STICK FLY. Additional credits include WHEATLEY (Victory Gardens Theater), VIVISECTIONS FROM THE BLOWN MIND and BY THE MUSIC OF THE SPHERES (Goodman) and the North American premiere of A CLOCKWORK ORANGE (Steppenwolf Theatre). At Chicago Theatre Co., Daniel appeared in DO LORD REMEMBER ME, which garnered the BTAA award for Best Ensemble, and was nominated for BTAA’s Best Featured Actor award for the role of Mouse in the company’s adaptation of Walter Mosley’s A RED DEATH. Regionally, he has appeared in the premiere of Lynn Nottage’s LAS MENINAS (San Jose Repertory Theatre), Kia Kor thron’s SLIDE, GLIDE THE SLIPPERY SLOPE (Mark Taper Forum, Los Angeles) and the LOUIS SLOTIN
SONATA (Circle X Theatre, Los Angeles). Daniel is an ensemble member at Congo Square; he has been the associate artistic director for the last two years. He also is an associate artist at Chicago Dramatists.
