Shanda McFadden
Shanda joined TimeLine’s Board of Directors in 2024. She works with business owners, high-net-worth individuals and multigenerational families to help them pursue their financial goals and manage the intersection of their personal and professional wealth. She excels at helping clients create a “liberation strategy” that shows them how they may be able to take a step back from their careers while maintaining their lifestyle and furthering their legacy.
Before joining Merrill in 2019, Shanda spent nearly 10 years as a commercial banker, which has given her a strong network of industry contacts that her clients can leverage for their needs. She holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor® and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor®designations, which give her the ability to help business owners manage liquidity events and provide 401(k) plans for their employees. She earned a B.S. in economics from DePauw University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.
Shanda lives in northwest Indiana with her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoys all that Chicago has to offer, including Summertime Chi, galleries and the local art scene. She is active with Bank of America’s Better Money Habits program to foster economic mobility and financial education, as well as financial workshops for Black contractors, owners and executives
