Thomas worked at TimeLine for the first time on ALL MY SONS. Previously, he assisted directors Lisa Portes on the
world premiere of Naomi Iizuka’s GHOSTWRITTEN and Kate Whoriskey on Lynn Nottage’s RUINED, both at the Goodman Theatre. Prior to those productions, he directed the Midwest premiere of Charles L. Mee’s IPHIGENIA 2.0 for his graduate thesis at The Theatre School at DePaul University. While at DePaul, he also directed Caryl Churchill’s A NUMBER, Eugene O’Neill’s ILE and THIRST, Rebecca Gilman’s SPINNING INTO BUTTER and Oscar Wilde’s THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. Before enrolling at DePaul, Thomas lived in New York City, where he worked with such esteemed artists as director Diane Paulus (A.R.T., HAIR), poet Wendy Walters and composers Douglas J. Cuomo and Derek Bermel.
