[A] savvy and growing company, where more and more Chicagoans have come, with reason, to trust the power, truth and integrity of the work.”
— Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune

We look forward to welcoming you to the theatre! Here are further details about our seating and services to assist you with your visit.

RESERVATIONS AND SEATING
Your reservation

We are a ticket-less theater, so once your reservation is confirmed, it will be held at the door. No need to bring anything with you—just check-in with your name at the Box Office, and the program you receive will serve as your ticket!

Seating is general admission.

The house opens for seating on a first-come, first-served basis approximately 30 minutes prior to the performance. We encourage all ticket holders to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to curtain time, especially if you are with a large party. Our home space on Wellington is 99 seats, so there really isn’t a bad seat in the house!

Seating configuration

The configuration of our seating varies per production. If you would like information about how the space is arranged for our current production, please call Audience Services at 773.281.8463 x6.

No late seating

Due to the intimate configuration of our space, we cannot accommodate late seating.

For more information about ticketing, please review our Frequently Asked Questions.

AMENITIES
Concessions

We offer a variety of sodas, snacks, and candy available for purchase and enjoyment before curtain and during intermission. Complimentary water is available at all performances. We do not serve coffee or alcohol.

Restrooms

Restrooms, including an all-gender, fully accessible single restroom, are located on the lower level of our building.

Lost and Found

We keep track of items left behind in our space. If you believe you lost something at TimeLine, please call Audience Services at 773.281.8463 x6. We apologize, but TimeLine is not responsible for any items lost in our space.

Accessibility

TimeLine strives to make performances accessible to all patrons. For more information about accessibility, visit our Accessibility page.

CONTENT ADVISORIES, DRESS CODE & RECORDING POLICIES
Content advisories

We may sometimes choose to post specific notes about content on individual show pages, but because sensitivities regarding subject matter vary from person to person, we encourage you to call Audience Services at 773.281.8463 x6 if you have questions about content, age-appropriateness or stage effects (such as strobe lights or theatrical fog) that might have a bearing on patron comfort.

Age recommendations

Subject to a parent or guardian’s discretion (see content advisories above), we generally recommend that children attending a TimeLine production be at least 13 years of age. As a courtesy to our patrons, children under the age of 5 are not permitted.

Dress code

TimeLine does not have a formal dress code—we invite you to wear what is comfortable and appropriate for the season—although we do recommend layers to accommodate heating/cooling during the winter and summer months.

Cameras & other electronic devices

In accordance with Actors’ Equity Association and for the respect and safety of the actors and other patrons, the videotaping or making of electronic or other audio and/or visual recordings of any production is a violation of United States copyright law and an actionable federal offense, and is strictly prohibited. We ask all patrons to please ensure that all electronic devices are turned off before the performance begins.
