DRIVING

You can use the link at right to obtain detailed Google Map directions from your location, or use these general instructions:

From the Northern and Northwest Suburbs

Take the Kennedy Expressway (90-94) and exit at 47th Street. Turn left towards Martin Luther King Drive. HWCC should be in front of you at the corner of 47th and MLK Drive. 

From the Loop

Take Lake Shore Drive south following signs for 90/94 E towards Indiana. Take exit 56B towards 47th. Turn left towards Martin Luther King Drive. HWCC should be in front of you at the corner of 47th and MLK Drive. 

From the Southern Suburbs

Take the Kennedy Expressway (90-94 E) and Take exit 56B towards 47th. Turn East towards Martin Luther King Drive. HWCC should be in front of you at the corner of 47th and MLK Drive.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

CTA Red Line trains

Exit at 47th Street stop. Walk about 6 blocks east down 47th to Martin Luther King Drive (crossing State, Michigan, and Indiana). HWCC should be in front of you at the corner of 47th and MLK Drive. 

CTA Green Line trains

Exit at 47th Street stop. Walk a block and a half east down 47th to Martin Luther King Drive. HWCC should be in front of you at the corner of 47th and MLK Drive. 

CTA bus routes

#3 (Michigan/Chicago) and #47 (Archer/Cicero) both stop at the corner of 47th and MLK Drive.

STREET PARKING

There is metered street parking on 47th West of the HWCC. For greater convenience while attending a performance, we recommend trying the ParkChicago app, which allows you to locate spots and refill a meter remotely via your mobile device.

Please allow ample extra time if you are looking for street parking.
