All three of the actors did an amazing job last Sunday, but especially Sam. The last 15 or 20 minutes gave me so much food for thought about what influences children. The influence of the white S.Africa prejudices and of Hally’s mother and dad and their “jokes” somehow overcame the positive and nurturing influence that he’d been blessed with all his childhood from Sam and Willie. I had tears rolling down my face. …and these kind and hard working men couldn’t just quit their jobs and walk away.
