Saturday, Mar. 10 at 11am

GENDER 101
with Josephine Kearns

1 session | Saturday, Mar. 10 | 11am – 1pm
COST: $25 (additional reservation system fees may apply)

During the rehearsal process for Boy, TimeLine held “Gender 101” sessions for its staff and the artists behind Boy, to help everyone operate as a more understanding, more diverse team. Now we are excited to be offering the session to audience members who are interested in taking a deeper dive into the topic as well.

This one-time class will be led by Josephine Kearns, a TimeLine Associate Artist and the Gender Identity Consultant for Boy, in consultation with the Gender and Sex Development Program at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Together we’ll address the history of gender, the modern terminology of gender, how to get comfortable talking about gender, work we can all be doing to make our world more welcoming and inclusive for gender minorities, and the ways the artistic team of Boy  wove all of this knowledge into the production—including a few of the secrets woven into the set.

Course fee is $25 (additional reservation system fees may apply). If you have further questions, please inquire via info@timelinetheatre.com. Spots are limited. Enroll today.
