Anish has appeared in TimeLine’s productions of CAMPAIGNS, INC., OSLO (Jeff Award nomination – Supporting Actor), BLOOD AND GIFTS, INANA, A DISAPPEARING NUMBER and IN THE NEXT ROOM, OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY.

My first TimeLine experience was seeing the terrific Not About Nightingales in 2000. From that moment of seeing a production that was bursting at the seams with power, creativity and imagination, I knew this company was very special. The ability of TimeLine to use history in starting important conversations about today’s issues in addition to bringing a focused intimacy to all of their productions without sacrificing value or detail makes them unique in Chicago and regional theatre.

Selected Chicago stage credits include WIT and 10 seasons of A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Goodman); WATER BY THE SPOONFUL, TITUS ANDRONICUS, MARY STUART, THE INVENTION OF LOVE, and LIFE’S A DREAM (Court); ROMEO AND JULIET (Chicago Shakespeare); RIGHTLYND (Victory Gardens); BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, and SITA RAM (Lookingglass); THE CARETAKER and TO THE GREEN FIELDS BEYOND (Writers); HATFIELD & MCCOY (House); THE FATHER and GREAT EXPECTATIONS (Remy Bumppo); THE ROOM (A Red Orchid); TWELFTH NIGHT (First Folio); MERCHANT ON VENICE (Silk Road Rising); OMNIUM GATHERUM (Next). Regionally, he appeared in HENRY VIII and MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Oregon Shakespeare Festival).

As someone who has always had a deep passion for history, I continue to be curious of what we can learn from our past, where our imagination lies in crafting stories from multiple points of view and how we can apply those experiences towards the challenging conversations we are having today about our world.

Some of his directing credits include THE CROWD YOU’RE IN WITH (16th Street); JESUS HOPPED THE ‘A’ TRAIN, ONE FLEA SPARE, BLUE SURGE, and SPINNING INTO BUTTER (Eclipse); and THE MASRAYANA (Rasaka). He is also the former Artistic Director of Eclipse Theatre Company and Rasaka Theatre Company in addition to having served on the board of The League of Chicago Theatres.

Film and television credits include BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, GIRL ON THE THIRD FLOOR, ANIMALS, STATION ELEVEN, EMPIRE, CHICAGO P.D., CHICAGO MED, APB, BOSS, LEVERAGE, EARLY EDITION, and more. Anish holds a BA degree in Theatre from Loyola University of Chicago and is a graduate of The Oxford School of Drama.
