Ted DeLong
Managing Director
Ted DeLong (Managing Director) comes to TimeLine following a decade at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival as General Manager and Associate Producer, and after recently serving as Woolly Mammoth Theatre’s Interim Managing Director. Ted has previously held positions at Yale Repertory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, the Magic Theatre, the Berkshire Theatre Festival, Baltimore Center Stage, and AMS Planning & Research. Ted is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Knox College and holds an MFA from the Yale School of Drama, where he was a recipient of the Morris J. Kaplan Award for Theater Management. A native of Normal, Illinois, Ted and his family are thrilled to come back to the Midwest after many years spent on both the east and west coasts, and to be a part of the best theatre city in America.
I love the clarity of TimeLine’s mission and I think that illuminating the present with viewpoints of and from the past is something the theatre can do particularly well. Plays and musicals set in historical time periods are among my favorites, and I’m really looking forward to seeing and being part of TimeLine’s work on these types of pieces.
