Tech Tweets

Last night I sat in on the tech rehearsal for The History Boys.  The current issue of Newcity came out yesterday with a cover story about the show. We had copies for everyone and had an impromptu photo shoot with the boys and their copies of Newcity right before rehearsal started. Last night was the first time I have watched rehearsal in the theater since the new seating risers and seats were installed. I love the new system and can’t wait for everyone to see the risers, seats and the other changes we have made in the theater! I was twittering throughout the night and  here’s what I wrote — let us know if you followed!

The actors are starting to arrive at the theatre. It is TimeLine hat and shirt day.

We just got done taking some photos of the photos for the blog.

The boys and Don are doing vocal warm ups.

Will Allan is at the piano. The rest of the boys are talking with scenic designer Brian Bembridge about their rooms.

Terry Hamilton and Andrew Carter are backstage talking with director Nick Bowling.

It is becoming less noisy in the theatre. The actors seems to have all gone back to the dressing room.

Work is starting at the top of the second act. Julia the props designer is helping Andrew with the mechanics of his wheelchair.

There is currently a lot of activity with light bulbs and gaff tape.

I love the new theatre seats and can’t wait to show them off to our subscribers and donors on Saturday!

Joel Gross who is playing Dakin is hanging a David Bowie poster in his room.
