As the Development Manager here at TimeLine, my job is all about goals and deadlines. There are, of course, the all-important fundraising goals that we must reach each season to be able to pay for the art on our stage. And along with our many grant deadlines, one of the most important deadlines always comes on June 30 with the end of our Fiscal Year.
As I write this blog post, we are just 12 days from that big deadline, with $6,600 left to raise to balance our budget. We are still working hard, and will be until the deadline hits, in the hopes that we can bring in that money. If we are able to reach this goal, we will have the good fortune to celebrate our 12th season in a row with a balanced budget.
As we quickly approach this important deadline I have begun to reflect on just how we got to where we are. It has taken a lot of careful budget analysis, and some aggressive expense cuts as well, but the truth is that an entire community of TimeLine enthusiasts and supporter are responsible for bringing us to the brink of a balanced budget. This season, we have received 854 contributions (with more coming in each day). This is an impressive number for a company of our size, and a true testament to the commitment TimeLine supporters have for our mission.
To those of you who have made a donation this season, I want you to know that you have made a huge impact on our success. We wouldn’t be so very close to balancing our budget if it weren’t for you. Your enthusiasm is inspiring to me, and makes my job a pleasure to carry out. Thank you for your support!
