A few months ago, TimeLine Artistic Director PJ Powers had a special plea for the readers of this blog: Vote online to help him become one of 25 “All Star” former guests of WTTW’s “Check, Please!” restaurant review show to be invited back for the show’s upcoming season. In the days that followed, TimeLine fans responded, and PJ ended up becoming the #1 All-Star, beating out even President Barack Obama!
This week comes the payoff — PJ is back as a guest on the show for the episode that premieres tomorrow night, Friday, January 28 at 8 p.m. on WTTW Channel 11 in Chicago. Reruns of the show are scheduled for Saturday, January 29 at 4:30 pm and Sunday, January 30 at 9:30 pm. The restaurants to be featured are Al Bawadi, Viaggio and TimeLine neighbor Chilam Balam, which describes itself as “a sustainably minded BYOB restaurant serving Mexican shared plates with a farm fresh twist.” Check out the episode and then let us know what you think!
