The play is just the beginning! Go beyond the post-show discussion in this one-time class, built around William Brown and Doug Frew’s To Master the Art that expands upon TimeLine’s mission to explore stories inspired by history that connect with today’s social and political issues.

Guided by Company Member and Living History Education Director Juliet Hart, this virtual class will bring TimeLine friends, subscribers, and foodies together to explore the big, beautiful and bold notions of Julia Child in her own words, from her cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking to the script of To Master the Art. We’ll also examine how food can be a comfort, an art, and a distraction, and what that the right recipe might mean to us during the pandemic.

Through storytelling, script analysis, and scene work, Juliet will lead participants through an exploration of love, adventure, and food, based on techniques used in classrooms by TimeLine’s Living History Education Program

This class will meet remotely via Zoom:
Thursday, June 25
5:30-7:30pm (Central Time).

It is recommended that participants have seen a production of TimeLine’s To Master the Art prior to this class.
