Josephine Kearns is a proud queer transgender artist who has worked on 28 productions at TimeLine, most recently as dramaturg and gender identity consultant on BOY. By day she works with the Gender & Sex Development Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, supporting trans youth as a Program Coordinator. Josephine previously served as TimeLine’s first staff Production Manager, where from 2010-2016 she oversaw productions the garnered eight Equity Jeff Award nominations for Best Production (winning three) and 21 nominations for design (winning four). She is also an Equity Stage Manager, with work including several TimeLine productions, development workshops for the eventual world premieres of TO MASTER THE ART and MY KIND OF TOWN and the Chicago premiere of SPILL, and the productions for nine of TimeLine’s annual STEP INTO TIME galas.
